BUTTERFLIES EAT MY EYES
This song is about living in the city and getting oversaturated and overstimulated by the lifestyle and the industry and hard metallic movement of it all. I wrote it in Paris when i was staying in the apartment of a guy who worked as a graphic designer and come home to play video games for hours and hours and his lifestyle scared me. I also know other people who live life like this. Even i live like this to some degree, even though now i live in the countryside, my eyes still get eaten by butterfly pixels for great portions of the day.
I called it Himalaya and my friend asked me: is that because the Himalayas are holy and spiritual and the song is about the opposite?
– No, it’s because the Himalayas are cold like our bionic souls. Also the song felt like a culmination, a high point in my guitar playing and my song writing and complexity of interlinking parts (in my own opinion).
The reason the words are all capital and lowercase mixed is because i used the camera text scanner and it came out like that.
