REDDISH AND GOLD ROOM

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

lying down in a room of
reddish and gold
another minute flies off
another minute old
chest is hollow like a
birdcage cathedral in a
desertside town and the
sign says
sold

reddish and gold room
seacity view
hurricane stormbrew
blacks turn blue
floods are cometh and
the water rises
sweeping, cleaning
remade
new

sitting on a bunk
in a cold white light
window wet and
bird in flight
open a computer
up like a ribcage
feeding on the bright black
light of the
night

this is an ode to my old room in london which was my safehaven in what i felt at times could be a hazardous and unfriendly metropolitan chaos.
