The Destroying of the Super Ego

When i was a child

I made myself a castle

In the sand

The tides came

I reinforced it

With sand

The winds blew

I cemented it

With sand

I dug canals

To irrigate it

I planted flags

To commemorate it;

I got lost

In labyrinths

I left myself there

Roaming the corridors

And banging the doors

Circulating the intricacies

I could no longer see

The sea nor horizon

The beach goers

The birds

The stars and well

I woke up

As if from a heady dream

I rolled and plunged my fist

Through its soft walls

I heeled through the turrets

Tumbled the bridges

Lashed out at the columns

I splashed in the laughing waves

And welcomed them to help me

In my castle’s destruction.
